Dancoor Community Finances Ltd (DCFL) is the franchisee of Community Bank Jurien Bay.
DCFL is a social enterprise run by the community, for the community, and aims to provide funding and sponsorships for community-based groups and initiatives.
We know successful communities mean successful businesses and we’re all about our region thriving so everyone benefits.
We’re focused on developing partnerships with local community organisations to leverage our funding sources and ensure we’re a key community asset for all.
However, we need you! Our purpose is operating banking services and while we can enable your project, we need your community group to deliver it.
Community banking is a ‘profit-for-purpose’ model, meaning profits are returned directly to the community that has generated them. In our case, the Dandaragan and Coorow Shires and surrounding districts.
Community banking is designed to feed a positive cycle of good business, community and giving back.
To run a successful Community Investment Program and return as much as possible, we first need to run a successful business. That’s why it’s important customers bank with us in the first instance.
Our community investment funding is made possible by the profit generated from banking services provided at our branch in Jurien Bay.
Simply, we invest in local community groups and organisations that undertake projects to build and strengthen our community.
When we invest, we’re also enabling community groups to leverage our funding and implement sustainable practices for future proofing their organisation’s success. That’s sustainability at its core.
If you’re part of a community group doing great things, making change and delivering exciting projects, please apply for community investment funding.
Imagine what your community organisation can do for the betterment of your Community. We’re looking for bold ideas, clever ideas, creative ideas and projects your local community group can bring to life with our support.
The types of organisations we typically support (but are not limited to) include community interest groups or organisations, sporting clubs, schools, and/or community service projects.
The aim of the Community Investment Program is to achieve impact widely across many industry sectors.
Before you attempt to apply for funding, it will be useful for you to understand that the following criteria apply to all applications.
Generally, DCFL is unlikely to approve an application if:
If you successfully answered “no” to all of these criteria, then please continue on and read the information that follows. You can then ascertain which funding round is most appropriate for your application.
Our grants are paid to an organisation to address a social issue within the community.
Sponsorships are provided to community organisations rather than specific projects. Sponsorship supports a local club or activity and is entered in to on the understanding that the gesture will be reciprocal (i.e. the organisation supports the community bank with their business and that the sponsorship is appropriately acknowledged and publicised).
Sponsorships of $500 to $5,000 can be applied for within our Sponsorship rounds.
If you are seeking an amount less than $500, pop past the branch in Jurien Bay or call 9652 2590 and speak directly to our Branch Manager.
We offer four different levels of sponsorship. Each level of sponsorship incurs specific conditions that you are asked to adhere to as part of the Sponsorship agreement. You will also be asked to acquit the sponsorship and demonstrate how you have adhered to the conditions.
The levels of sponsorships and corresponding conditions can be found in this document - Sponsorship Matrix
